What kind of estimates does Reliance
give?
Generally, our moving quotes are non-binding estimates
of moving costs. Non-binding estimates are given in writing and
clearly describe the shipment and all services included.

How are
moving costs estimated?
In the estimate you will find the estimated CF (volume) and the
price per CF. The CF price set is based on the distance your shipment
must travel. Accompanying the estimate is an "Inventory List."
This is the list of goods you have provided, so that we may estimate
your move.

What services
and products are included in the moving estimate?
A non-binding estimate includes the transport of the stated weight
or volume written in the estimate, labor, basic insurance, tolls,
gas, and mileage. A gas surcharge may be in effect in some localities.

Does Reliance give "Fixed Rate"
moving estimates?
We offer fixed-rate, also known as "flat-fee" moving
estimates when an on-site inventory review has been performed
by an Reliance estimator. All supplies are included. (Based on
estimator availability)
A fixed rate estimate will be higher than the standard non-binding
moving estimate because factors like the estimator's site visit
time and unforeseen additional supplies and services costs must
be added in.

Is the estimate total the final cost
of the move?
The amount of the estimated charges will be written on the "Bill
of Lading" at the time of shipment. An estimate is not a
guarantee of the final cost of your move. The actual cost may
be more or less than what we have estimated. Some reasons
for this may be that you:
- Do not move all the items you thought you would.
- Move more items than stated at time of estimate.
- Have moved more or less CF (volume) or pounds (weight) then
initially estimated.
- Pack some of the move yourself.
- Purchase packing materials or boxes in excess of these included
in the estimate.
- Request added services such as unpacking, shuttle service,
or additional pick-ups or drop offs.

What is a "space reservation?"
A "space reservation" is a booking of a certain amount
of volume (CF of space) for your move. A customer may share space
on a truck with another customer. This service accomodates customers
with a smaller amount of property to move (Under 1600 CF) at a
lower cost. There are no additional mileage or labor costs. Basic
insurance coverage, tolls, gas and one month storage is included.
Materials are additional.

What does "exclusive use" mean?
Unlike "space reservation" service, the "exclusive
use" service makes use of one or ore trucks inwhich only one
customers household goods are loaded. Major moves with a large amount
of property can benefit from exclusive use moving. Generally, the
same moving crew performs all aspects of the move—From origin
to destination. Exclusive Use moves may incur a per truck charge
when more than one truck is
employed because the actual truck volume may be over the estimated
volume. Basic insurance coverage, tolls, gas and one month storage
are included in Reliance Exclusive Use Service.
Materials may be included at a flat rate. (Your total bill will
be discounted for any unused materials)
